Characteristics of Hammer Crusher

Hammer crusher makes use of high-speed rotation of the hammer to impact ore, and to make the ore break along its natural fissures, the vulnerable part of the bedding planes and joints surface rupture. It was suitable to break materials of brittle, medium-hard, and with little moisture. It is mainly used in the building materials factory to crush limestone, coal, shale, chalk, gypsum and asbestos ore. Generally speaking, the heavy hammer has a small number of slow-speed hammerheads, and some have the grate bars and structure of keyboard, so they can be fed large materials. They are suitable to have course crushing, and vice versa.
There are many types of hammer crushers depending on the structural features, and they can be classified as follows: single-axis (or single-rotor) and a two-axis (or dual rotor) according to the number of revolutions; single-row and multi-row style according to the rows of hammerhead; fixed hammer and mobile hammer according to the settlement of hammerhead. Specifications of the hammer crusher are marked by the diameter of the outer end of the rotating body and its length dimension.
Hammer crusher has a high crushing ratio (up to 10 to 25 individual 50), which is its greatest feature. Secondly, its structure is simple, compact size, light weight body, easy operation and maintenance. In addition, its product size is small and uniform. The hammer crusher has a high production capacity and low energy consumption per unit of product. However, the working parts of the hammer crusher (such as hammer, grate bars, etc.) are easily damaged, and need to be frequently changed. Therefore, it needs to consume more metal and maintenance time. In addition, the grate bars are prone to clogging, especially for materials with high degree of humidity, or containing a clay material, so it will cause a significant decline of the production capacity.
